My most favourite Valentine there ever was. He makes my heart beat faster than ever before which is pretty incredible given how tired I am these days. But, it's worth it all when he gives me the world's best smile every time he looks at me. Being a mom might be one of the hardest roles, but it really is one of the most darn amazing, beautiful and rewarding ones too. He has my heart ❤️
What's in a moment? Like a real moment? Not a posed one, not a fake one, but a really raw and honest moment? For me, it's all about a feeling. Photographs have this magical ability to transport you back to that moment & the feelings you are experiencing. A moment like this where after her Hindu ceremony, she changed into her stunning @rimearodaky gown and with her ladies in tow, headed down the street to her secular ceremony, to marry her man, for the second time that day. I love how looking at this photo I hear @lennonandmaisyofficial Boom Clap in my head, which was the song that played as soon as she walked the aisle, moments after this was taken. I remember it being fall, and I remember the smell of pizza as she passed the pizza shop where this old man watched mesmerized as these gorgeous ladies passed on by. I remember the feeling of excitement and complete happiness. It's just one photo, but it does so much to my heart.

Tonight my passion project comes to life for the third annual show. @theloveactuallyexhibition will be opening at the Gladstone hotel and it features the work of 34 photographers. Each photo has a beautiful description of the moment from the photo, the name of the couple, and a list of the mighty amazing vendors that are a part of each wedding. I didn't add my own print this year to leave room to another person who's photo was heartbreakingly beautiful, to help honour her memory (you'll have to attend to know what I mean), but the whole show is my baby and I believe so much in this beautiful wedding community that for the past three weeks, I've made it come to life for the third time (usually I have three months, but this one was a little shorter in turn around). If you feel like feeling some beautiful things tonight, or just celebrating love, or just coming to say hello, come on over. We'd LOVE to have you! xo
Oscar just conquered the leap of relationships (hello @thewonderweeks ), and as he was doing that, I started to think about my own relationships (the people ones). One of the most beautiful shifts motherhood has brought to my life is an understanding of the people in my life. Like seasons, friendships come & go, and having Oscar has opened up my eyes to understanding the ladies in my life in a whole new way. I see them in a different light and appreciate them on a different level. As sad as I've been to see some people fade from my life when I needed them most, others have stepped up making me appreciate, respect & love them more than ever. It’s funny how that works; how someone you didn't quite get before becomes so dear, while another who were so in stride with once before now no longer are at all. Life is interesting like that, but motherhood is the most interesting thing of them all and it seems to touch every little aspect of my life, shakes it up and makes it just that much better.
This mama in particular has given me such a beautiful insight into myself as a mom, the relationship of parent & child and the tenderness that should be in my everyday, even to myself. Love you sweet @_laurarowe_ and cannot wait to see as your beautiful family grows by one more sweet soul.
Bad ass couple. Also known as the couple with the MOST popular date this past year, which I knew it would be so really made sure the 22nd of September (the day after my own anniversary) was a wedding where I'd totally fall in love with the couple, and that's pretty much what I did. Lina & Simon, I love you. Like so hard. Also, I hilariously found out the morning of their wedding that Lina is actually like a third cousin of Anthony’s, so in some crazy way we are all related, how crazy is that... !?! Love it! #whenanitalianmarriestheirish
Slowly and surely the light will come through. Incredibly proud of my husband and the openness he has been working on, sharing and being vulnerable about. Having a kid has rocked our world, but I think it has also opened up things that without Oscar, would eventually break us down, but instead, we will be stronger than ever. If you are interested in what the hell I'm talking about, you can see his post and his own beautiful words about it.

I love you, Anthony. 🖤 📷 by the wonderful @joanna.crichton
Those last moments, they really are so bittersweet. You have no idea when they’ll be or how it will all go, until it hits you and it’s a RUSH. I've been working on unpacking my feelings around my own birth story and the events surrounding it for quite a while. Things got a little stirred up with some PTSD this past weekend when this beauty's little girl came into the world and I returned to the very halls I so badly wanted leave seven months ago. I'll be telling my own tale soon, and all the little things around it when I launch my new blog this Valentine’s Day. Yup, I started a new blog packed full of deliciously honest & heartfelt things, and I can’t wait to share it (terrified and excited all at once)! But back to those moments... do you remember what you were doing before the babe arrived? What headspace were you in while in the waiting game or, maybe being caught by surprise?! I’d love to know’! And double tap if you made it this far and are interested in this little blog I’m getting ready to share! X
Also, can we just talk about how beautiful @randomactsofpastel is here while waiting for her Summer, the body is truly magic. ✨💫💛
